Dear Merchant,

Since the launch of our Magento extension, we have constantly been making minor updates in order to improve the payment experience for your customers.

We have released a new minor version of our extension, V1.2.6 which contains important enhancements and fixes, including

  • Enhancements - Add new card via my account

    • Previously, customers could only store cards during payments. With the new release, a logged in customer can add a new card without making a purchase. This is important in scenarios where a stored card used for processing subscription payments expires and the customer needs to update their card details.

  • Enhancements - Force default payment method

    • You can specify which payment method you want your customer to use for payment when they are redirected to the Peach Payments hosted page. By using the configurable forceDefaultMethod setting we have added to the plugin, if a customer redirects to the Peach Payments hosted page, for example, using Mobicred, you can ‘force’ them to only complete the payment using Mobicred.

  • Fix - Minicart being cached on embedded card / saved card redirect

    • Fix to how the JavaScript widget loads within the Magento user interface of your store.

  • Fix - Embedded card form to pass Transaction / Order ID to Peach Payments

    • A fix to send through Order IDs from Magento when payments are made using the Peach Payments widget that loads within the Magento user interface.

  • Fix - InstantEFT payments shown as card

    • In some instances, if a payment was made using an alternative payment method, it displayed as ‘card payment’ on the Magento order. The payment method used for payment by the customer should display correctly now.

Note: We have included a compatibility matrix in the plugin readme files. Always ensure you are using supported versions of Peach Payments and Magento. To view the compatibility matrix see, scroll down to the readme of our public repository.
