To give you the most flexible way to pay, we've partnered with Payflex. Here are some common questions about this simple, secure payment option.
1. What is Payflex?
Payflex is a South African "Buy Now, Pay Later" service that allows you to get your goods today and pay for them over six weeks. When you check out with Payflex, you only pay 25% of the purchase price upfront. The remaining 75% is split into three equal payments of 25% each, which are automatically debited from your card every two weeks. Best of all, it's at zero additional cost to you—no interest or fees.
(Please note: Default fees may apply if you miss a payment.)
2. How do I sign up for Payflex?
It's simple. When you're ready to check out, select Payflex as your payment method. You will be prompted to provide your South African ID number, and Payflex will assess you in seconds. No complex forms or documentation are required.
3. What cards does Payflex accept?
Payflex accepts all major credit, cheque, and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
4. Is it safe to use Payflex?
Absolutely. Payflex is an established South African payments company and part of Zip Co, a large, publicly listed financial technology group. All payments are processed through state-of-the-art, PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment systems to ensure your information is always secure.
5. What is my spending limit?
Your spending limit is determined by Payflex based on a number of factors, including your individual credit history and your repayment behaviour with them. If you maintain a good repayment history, Payflex may increase your spending limit over time.
6. Why wasn't my Payflex application approved?
To be approved, you need to meet Payflex's minimum requirements. If your application was declined, it could be due to having a poor credit history or no credit history at all. As Payflex provides a free payment plan, their automated assessment must verify a number of factors before assigning a spending limit.
7. How many Payflex orders can I have at one time?
If you are using Payflex for the first time, you will need to wait until the second payment on your first order has been successfully paid before you can make another purchase. After that, you can have multiple orders at once, provided you are within your spending limit.
8. When are my payments due?
Your payment schedule is straightforward:
- Payment 1: 25% of the total, paid upfront when you place your order.
- Payment 2: 25% of the total, due 2 weeks later.
- Payment 3: 25% of the total, due 4 weeks later.
- Payment 4: 25% of the total, due 6 weeks later.
9. My card was lost/stolen. How do I change my payment card?
You can update your card details by logging into your Payflex account at https://portal.payflex.co.za/login. Navigate to the ‘My Profile’ page, click ‘Add New Card,’ and follow the prompts. Once the new card is activated, it will be used for all future scheduled payments. Please remember to cancel your lost or stolen card with your bank.
10. I have been refunded, but the money is not reflecting in my account. What should I do?
Bank processing times for refunds can vary. If it has been more than five (5) working days since you received an email from us confirming the refund, please contact the Payflex support team directly at support@payflex.co.za so they can investigate for you.
11. Can I change my payment dates?
Unfortunately, your payment dates are set automatically and cannot be changed. Before confirming your order, please ensure the two-weekly payment schedule works for you.
12. There is a problem with my order or delivery. Can Payflex help?
Payflex handles the payment portion of your order. For any issues relating to the products themselves, shipping, or delivery, you will need to contact us directly, and any resolution will be subject to our store's policies.
